I got an award!

I got an award?! People actually enjoy reading this crap that comes out of my head? Well, that's nice to know.

No, but for real, I really, really, really love when you leave me comments. I log on several times each day, crossing my fingers that someone left a remark on a post. And when I do get comments, or new followers, I call my man at work and burst, "Guess what?! I got a new comment/follower!" He's always so kind and says, "Congratulations, honey." And then I prod, "Aren't you so proud of me? Can you believe I made this site and keep it up all by myself?" "That's great, sweetie. I'm really proud of you. I have to go now, though, because I have a conference call with China in 8 minutes."

Oh, the sweet, satisfying joys of blogging. Of course, I never expected someone to recognize me on their blog. That's extra special.

So, who's the dear that gave me said award? OverMom from the blog And then there were 3! She and I seem to have quite a bit in common. We're moms trying to find balance and enjoyment in our lives. I'm so thrilled and thankful she reads and enjoys my posts. I enjoy hers as well!

Now that I have received this award, I am going to pass on the warm-fuzzies by giving it to five blogs I love reading. Here are the criteria for this award:

The rules for the Liebster Award are:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Choose 5 up and coming blogs with less than 200 followers who really stand out.
3. Reveal your top five picks (& why you picked them) and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
4. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
5. Have faith that your followers will spread the love too!

I now, hereby award the following blogs, in no particular order, with the Liebster Blog award:
1. Kristina: She's hilarious. I love her point of view...and she may or may not have been a college roommate.
2. Lisa: She shares the coolest DIY crafts. My favs: DIY scarves from old sweaters!
3. Kerissa: This lady shares a story every woman should hear. It's candid and real.
4. Natasha: She's the perfect sweet & sour. No, not because she's 1/2 Vietnamese—that's racist. She shares some of the most beautiful thoughts and also some pretty funny sarcasm as well. Also, she's my sis-in-law.
5. Deborah: Her posts are refreshing and honest. They illustrate the real life of a mom, which I so appreciate!

Please visit their sites, leave comments, congratulate and follow them! I promise, you will fall in love with their blogs as much as I have.

Oh, and what does Liebster even mean? It's a German word meaning dear, sweet, kind, nice, good, beloved, lovely, kindly, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.
