Take this, Charlie Brown: Mom Exhibit

Oh, Christmas tree...

You're looking pretty pathetic these days...pretty sparse on the bottom half. The girl's constantly rearranging and the boy whacks at ya with drum sticks. Your surroundings don't help.

What matters most, though, is that you're loved. Mostly loved. Because the girl "likes everything except for one thing: the bow on top." "Because I hate bows," she says.

So moms, don't stress or apologize to visitors. We understand. You tried to make it look nice. There's a time and season for everything. And this season isn't the season for Martha Stewart-esque decor.

Link up below and show me your "kid-proof" tree. Click the link below, "Click here to enter."

  2. Ha! I am definitely not in the Martha Stewart season in my home. I let the boys decorate the tree. It looks similar to yours and I LOVE it! I am cherishing the moments.

  3. Mine looks about like that lol. Between the boys and cat, the poor thing never stood a chance. Great thing is, we have one of those fiber optic trees so it still looks cute with no ornaments on it!

  4. i posted my naked and up high trees. They are kid-proof alright. They are about 3 feet off the ground, and only about 3 feet tall to begin with. No bows, no personal ornaments (we have them too.) looks nice, but I am too lazy to do anything else with them :)

  6. Oh, I LOVE that the bottom of it is becoming bare. My son takes them off, and my daughter puts them back, so they are beginning to clump in certain places :)

  7. the only way my tree is kid-proof is that I constantly watch my kids like a hawk when they're in the same room as the tree. I bark out "Don't Touch" whenever they get within a 3 step range of the darn thing!

  8. That is too funny! My older kids hardly ever touched the tree, but my 4 month old is already grabby! I can tell that next year is going to be a treat!

  9. Oh girl, do my kids know your kids? Our tree looks bad! I am too embarrassed to share a picture. Brave you are indeed!
